Hi I'm Sophie, I run the blog 'Moore than just Deaf'. I am deaf and wear two hearing aids. I rely on Lip reading and I'm currently learning British Sign Language (BSL) to help me communicate with others. I also have an Auditory Processing Aisorder, this means it takes longer for me to understand what has been said to me. As I have both of these, I often need things wording in a more simple way and then also repeating. I have such a supportive family and group of friends. On top of this I also have Dyslexia, which makes writing essays at university difficult.

My blog is about making people aware of Deafness, dyslexia and what an Auditory Processing Disorder is and to answer any questions because I don't feel there is enough awareness out there. I also want to provide my experiences of growing up with both of these as sometimes it is better to hear from someone who has been through the problems you may be experiencing.
